Utilizing state of the art technical platforms, the company has an excellent track record of providing quality property management and construction management services for over 40 years. The management team prides themselves on their attention to detail and expertise in this space, and on providing a best in class experience for their key constituencies: tenants, shopping center owners and shopping center customers.

BVPG owns and operate 40 class B grocery and discount anchored neighborhood and community shopping centers totaling 4.2 million square feet, primarily located in strong secondary markets throughout the Southeast US. The company has 29 employees, with offices in Charlotte, NC, Florida, NY, and Bristol, TN and a satellite office in Stuart, FL.

Management Team

Jeffrey Rosenberg

JeffREy G. Rosenberg President and Chief Executive Officer

In 1997, Jeff joined the family firm, Big V Property Group, and he currently runs and manages the family real estate, which includes shopping centers, office buildings, and residential apartments. As manager of the family firm, he has been involved in many real estate projects, including redeveloping and re-tenanting shopping centers, developing age-restricted housing and managing the day-to-day operation of the business. Prior to joining Big V, Jeff was involved in the retail side of the real estate business. From 1995-1997 he managed 25 Big A Auto Parts stores in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. Prior to that, he owned a chain of Computer Stores in the New York/ New Jersey. Jeff graduated from Pace University in 1984 with a degree in business and received his MBA from The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1995.

Michael Rosenberg

Michael Rosenberg Chief Operating Officer

Mike comes to Big V Property Group with a 25 year background in operations and project management. He spent the last 5 years building and running two successful express car washes in the Stuart, FL area. Before that he worked for 17 years as Director of Operations for a direct mail company responsible for all call centers, fulfillment centers, IT and accounting. Mike holds an MBA from Crummer School of Business (part of Rollins College) and BA from Hartwick College.

Brent Hendrix

Brent Hendrix Chief Financial Officer

Before joining Big V Property Group, Brent was Controller at Shoprite Supermarkets, Inc. where he worked for twelve years. Brent has a private tax practice and owns multiple rental properties. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Montclair State University. Brent is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Jason Nidiffer

Jason Nidiffer Senior Vice President, Leasing and Acquisitions

Jason is a third generation commercial real estate professional, beginning his career in a family business his grandfather started in the 1950s and which his father continues to run today. Jason has worked in nearly every sector of the commercial real estate industry, including property management, land assemblage, disposition/acquisition of single tenant net leased investment properties and multitenant shopping centers, office complex leasing and management, and medical building leasing. Over the past 10 years, Jason has focused on leasing work for second generation shopping centers and ground up development, shepherding many projects from under 50% occupancy to 100% full. Jason graduated from Cumberland College with a BA degree in Business and received his MBA from the Gatton School of Business at the University of Kentucky.

Paul Cornette

Paul Cornette Managing Director, Investments

Paul is a Managing Director for Big V Property Group's Investments team focusing on Investor Relations. In this role, Paul is principally responsible for business development and relationship management including capital introduction, marketing and financial reporting. Most recently, Paul was a Senior Vice President at Raymond James, where he managed relationships with top tier institutional accounts, including Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, Pensions, Endowments and Foundations in addition to family offices and high net worth individuals. Paul's prior Wall Street global banking experience includes roles at JP Morgan and Cowen, where he was responsible for various sales, trading and relationship management functions in addition to his time at Saras Capital, a multi-asset hedge fund, where he was a member of the senior leadership team, fulfilling trading and operations functions. Paul earned his MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from The Catholic University of America.

Ryan Fabbri

Ryan Fabbri Director of Acquisitions

Before joining Big V Properties, Ryan spent seven years in Banking and Finance at The First Bank and Trust Company located in Abingdon, VA. During his Banking tenure, he worked as an E-Commerce Sales Representative, a Commercial Credit Analyst, and a Commercial Loan Officer / Officer Manager. While at The First Bank and Trust Company, Ryan also completed the highly competitive 2-year Management Training Program. Prior to his Banking career, Ryan obtained his Real-Estate Licenses in 2007 and has continued to keep-up with Commercial Real-Estate trends and is excited to bring his Banking perspective to the Real-Estate industry. Ryan received his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Haslam School of Business at the University of Tennessee. He specializes in Commercial Leasing, Sales & Marketing.

Ryan Smalley

Ryan Smalley Associate General Counsel

Ryan is a veteran real estate attorney with close to twenty years of experience working in real estate law, both in-house and as outside counsel. Before joining Big V, Ryan spent over six years as Counsel in the Charlotte office of McGuireWoods, a top tier law firm and one of the largest in the United States. While at McGuireWoods, Ryan handled a wide variety of real estate legal matters, including purchase and sales, mixed use development projects, portfolio transactions, lease negotiations and ground leases. Additionally, he acted as lead outside counsel for a regional grocery store chain. Prior to that, Ryan spent three years at Parker, Poe, Adams & Bernstein, a top regional firm in the Southeast. Ryan also worked for six years as an in-house Real Estate Attorney for Family Dollar Stores where he was responsible for supervising a team of paralegals and assistants, helping draft and negotiate leases, purchase and sale agreements and overseeing real estate litigation matters. Ryan received his BA from Washington and Lee University and his JD from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Kevin Conway

Kevin Conway Vice President, Leasing

Kevin has more than 18 years of leasing experience, working both for privately held real estate investment management companies and for publicly listed REITs. Most recently, Kevin was Director of Leasing for Tricor International Corporation, a privately held commercial real estate owner / operator, where he was responsible for leasing and managing 4.5 million square feet of shopping centers throughout the Carolinas, including 15 Wal-Mart anchored centers. Prior to Tricor Kevin was the Director of Leasing at Seritage Growth Properties, a publicly traded REIT, and was responsible for leasing and redeveloping a real estate portfolio with large national retailers such as Sears and Kmart. Before Seritage, Kevin spent 12 years at Phillips Edison in a variety of leasing, management and operational roles. Kevin has a thorough knowledge of Southeast retail markets and broad experience in leasing, development and operations. Kevin graduated with a BA from Xavier University and is based out of our Charlotte, NC office.

 

Mike McWeeney

Mike McWeeney Construction Manager

Mike has 30 years of experience in the construction industry, working in both residential and commercial construction. Before joining the Big V Team, Mike was a Construction Manager for ServePro, and was responsible for all aspects of construction, from bidding and budgeting projects to overseeing day to day operations and managing quality control and customer relations. Prior to that, Mike ran his own general contracting firm, Montana Service Group in Big Sky, Montana, and MMC Construction in Florida specializing in both residential and commercial construction and project management.

Joy Horstmann

Joy Horstmann Director of Marketing and Communications

Joy has 20 years of marketing and communications experience in many diverse industries, including the food and restaurant industry, non-profit organizations and manufacturing. Before coming to Big V Property Group, Joy owned and managed Fancy Fire Pit, which manufactures hand-made steel fire pits. She created and managed all aspects of the business from product design, print and web-based marketing, website design, trade shows and all stages of manufacturing. From its inception 6 years ago, she has grown it into one of the largest custom fire pit companies in the country. She graduated from Lehigh University with a BA in English Literature.

A. Richard Rosenberg

A. Richard Rosenberg Executive Advisor

Dick Rosenberg was Chairman, CEO, and President of Big V Supermarkets, Inc., the largest member of the Wakefern Food Cooperative, doing business under the name ShopRite Supermarkets.

Dick entered the family business after graduating from Lehigh University and was instrumental in growing the supermarket chain from 2 stores to 34 stores, $800MM in revenue and 4500 associates. When the company was sold in 1987, Dick continued in the retail shopping center development business with Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, which he developed and owned with two partners. Dick sold his interest in Woodbury in 1992 and continues to be actively involved in all aspects of the real estate business.
